The Learning Nest Academy is getting warm and cozy with its brand-identity launch.
The provider of early learning tasked agency partner Good & Ready to create a premium look designed to attract families seeking a more elevated and personalized learning experience. The company’s first location opens this month in the city’s west-end Junction neighbourhood.
“Our goal was to create a brand that feels as thoughtfully designed as the academy itself, natural, refined, personal, and full of wonder,” says Alan Madill, founder of Good & Ready, which has also completed a brand refreshes for The Learning Nest Academy’s parent company, Childventures. “We wanted the identity to feel like a warm invitation into a truly special place where children and families are embraced with care.”
The academy’s personalized curriculum is complemented by an outdoor environment highlighted by natural playgrounds that inspire imaginative play and discovery.
Good & Ready embraced and extended that sensibility, developing a brand design system that not only worked with the physical space but infused it with character and personality.
According to Madill, The Academy’s interiors were inspired by Scandinavian design – calm, inviting spaces dominated by a neutral palette and natural beech wood.
“However, too much neutrality can feel clinical,” he says. “To balance this, we introduced purposeful pops of colour. Our primary hue, ‘Red Cardinal,’ infuses vibrance and energy into the brand.”
The shop has a lot of experience handling creative in the education category having worked with The Bishop Strachan School and St. Michael’s College School.
But, regardless of the client, Madill says Good & Ready takes nothing for granted when approaching new projects.
“We assume nothing, listen a lot and build a platform or campaign that is bespoke for each client, regardless of what category they’re in.”
The transit-shelter advertisements featured in the creative assets were developed to demonstrate how the brand identity can scale to out-of-home formats. However, there is no OOH buy in place at this time. The Learning Nest Academy is currently running a digital campaign to support the launch.
